The General Practice of Medicine in the United States

The General Practice of Medicine is considered, by most physicians, as to be a non-specialized form of the practice of medicine. In other words, physicians who practice in this area are not specialists. Physicians, who engage in the General Practice of Medicine, chose not to limit their practice to any particular area of medicine or specialty. These physicians will generally see any patient who desires to see them and, if the medical problem is more complicated than these physicians can handle, then these physicians will refer the patient to a specialist for specialty care.

The American Board of General Practice (ABGP) is a board that provides examinations for physicians who engage in the General Practice of Medicine. The ABGP also provides board certifications for these physicians, provided that they meet the standards of the ABGP. The American Board of General Practice is a non-profit organization.

The American College of General Medicine (ACGM) is an educational organization that provides training and education for physicians who engage in the General Practice of Medicine. The ACGM is also a non-profit organization. The ACGM provides a course of instruction called the General Practice Training Program.

Both the American Board of General Practice and the American College of General Medicine are accredited and recognized by the American Academy of General Physicians. The American Academy of General Physicians is a professional association of general practitioners, which furthers the interests of general practitioners in the United States. The American Academy of General Physicians is a non-profit organization.
